What is the motivation for weight loss?

 There are many ways and methods to lose weight and there are a lot of offers on the internet about diets, supplements, and exercise programs. The weight loss industry is big, be encountered if you have done research on Google, if you search for "weight loss" you will get results more than 7 million! The reason is obvious, our modern lifestyle lazy and all processed foods "ready made" make us fat we eat and in the end we need help to get rid of it.

A proverb says, "All roads lead to Rome". That is partly true also when it comes to weight loss. Most methods will work in some ways, but perhaps not all as fast or efficient as any. For some people, some methods are not healthy and maybe there are also some roads with dead ends here. We are all individuals, and which method you choose may depend on a lot of factors. In the end we choose an approach that fits our age, health, environment, personal preferences and sometimes even our financial situation.

However, the most important thing is to take action and start doing something. To change your eating habits and start doing more exercises etc. requires some willpower and to act finally most of us need some kind of motivation to lose weight. We need an image of how it will appear as or as our health will improve after a certain time. The most common reasons are things like getting a leaner body, strong and sexy and because of this more self-esteem. What is your motivation to lose weight?

My motivation to lose weight also includes these, but my biggest motivation was to add years to my life and to keep healthy as long as possible. This is because I'm Benedict having a 5 year old child at the age of 60. I want to do everything possible to be able to be there for him as he grows. I want to play with him, I want to play football and other sports to do with him and go hiking in the mountains and so on.

I was in no way overweight, but everyone can do better and is not just about weight loss  and keeping slim, it is equally important to keep in shape and be strong enough. To do this I had to step in and change some things in my life. Sometimes we have to make small sacrifices for a greater goal, nothing is for free.

"Nobody can go back and make a new beginning, but anyone can start from now and make a new ending."
